What are tooth implants?
Our teeth are made up of two parts;
- The part visible on the surface, the crown,
- The part inside (and not visible), the root.
Tooth Implants are fundamentally the same thing;
- A porcelain or ceramic crown which is made in a dental lab.
- A metallic root (the implant), which the crown is placed onto- A tooth implant is about the same size as the root of a natural tooth. It is positioned underneath the gum where the root of the tooth used to be.
Tooth implants can:
- Replace a single tooth, without requiring support from neighbouring teeth.
- Replace multiple missing teeth, restoring your smile and bite.

- Replace a denture, with teeth that are fixed in place.
