Porcelain Veneers FAQ’s
A Crown will cover your teeth like a cap, a Veneer is a wafer think shell that is bonded to the front of your tooth which causes less damage to the tooth tissue.
Because we use a wafer thin shell very little of the tooth surface needs to be removed and it is less invasive on the gum tissue. We will customise the colour to match the rest of your teeth, and they are stain resistant!
Once you have had your tooth surface prepared for the veneer you cannot reverse the process. If you crack or damage a veneer you will have to have the entire veneer rather than just repair it.
Correctly professionally fitted porcelain veneers will last 10-15 years assuming you maintain proper dental hygiene and continue to floss, brush and visit your dentist regularly.
