Dr Ciara Mulvihill graduated from Cork University School and Hospital in 2015 with an honours degree in Dentistry. She was awarded an entrance scholarship award in 2010, UCC Title of College Scholar in 2011 and 2012, Henry Schein Award in 2014 and a Gold Medal Award in 2015.
She subsequently worked in England completing her vocational training while also working in general practice. While in England she gained her Membership of the Joint Dental Faculties at the Royal College of Surgeons England. She then returned to Ireland where she worked in the Oral and Maxillofacial Unit in Cork University Hospital and then in the Oral Surgery Department at Dublin Dental School and Hospital
The following year Dr Mulvihill began a full-time Clinical Doctorate in Oral Surgery at the Dublin Dental University Hospital. In 2021 she was awarded a Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons Ireland in Oral Surgery and Oral Medicine.
Dr Mulvihill is on the committee of the Irish Association of Oral Surgeons and is actively involved in the teaching of undergraduate dental students in the Oral Surgery Department at the Dublin Dental School and Hospital.
