Dental Implants
Would you like to know the best way to replace a broken/missing tooth or teeth?
A dental implant is a type of artificial tooth root that is placed in your jawbone, using it as a type of ‘stake’ onto which a replacement tooth or bridge is fixed.
Dental implants are often recommended by your dental specialist if you enjoy a generally good standard of dental health but might have lost one or more of your teeth due to an accident or, as a result of severe periodontal disease.
Zygoma Implants
Have you been told you are not a suitable candidate for dental implants?
If you’ve answered yes to these, then you may be a candidate for Zygoma implants. These implants are used in the upper jaw when there is insufficient bone for ordinary implants. They provide support for implant bridgework where there has been a substantial amount of bone loss from the upper jaw, and ordinary implants cannot be used on their own to support a bridge.
This is a very specialist procedure and here at Dental House, Dr Wilson Grigolli is one of the few clinicians in Ireland with the expertise to use this procedure.
At Dental House, we use only the best materials when we are creating your perfect smile. Click Here to view a quick explanatory video from our esteemed suppliers Nobel Biocare.
Advantages of Dental Implants
-
-
One of the big advantages that implants have over traditional bridgework is that they do not rely on their neighboring teeth to support them, so if your worried about not having enough teeth to allow for them then fear not!
-
From a cosmetic perspective, there’s the added benefit that your implants look and feel completely natural, so you’ll have the confidence to flash that big bright smile!
