What is orthodontic treatment?

What is an Orthodontist?
An orthodontist is a qualified dentist who has completed a further three years full-time training on a specialist training programme that is recognised by the Dental Council of Ireland.
Meet our Specialist Orthodontist – Dr. Ronan Perry
Dr Ronan Perry is an honors graduate from the Dental School at Trinity College Dublin. Ronan has worked as a general dentist in Dublin and one of the UK’s leading teaching hospitals before setting up his first practice. Ronan completed a three-year masters degree in the speciality of Orthodontics in Trinity College Dublin. In addition, he was awarded a masters degree in Orthodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh. He has a special interest in lingual orthodontics and is one of Ireland’s leading practitioners of lingual orthodontics with over 200 lingual orthodontic cases. He obtained an MSc in Lingual Orthodontics at the University of Hannover Medical School in Germany. He is a registered specialist and President 2018-2020 of the Orthodontic Society of Ireland and is currently a member of the Faculty of Dentistry at the Royal College of Surgeons, Ireland.
